On 16th June 2017, Hebei Taiheng special steel Co., Ltd has successfully completed the hot plant commissioning of No.1 prereduction ferrochromium pellet production line.

As the EPC contractor, Mountop has introduced the Solid-state Ferrochromium pellet pre-reduction & hot charging to EAF process (SRC) to China; the capacity of first successful production line is 0.4 mtpa.

Due to new SRC process and energy recovery technology, the production power consumption of plant has been decreased by 30%, compared with the conventional EAF process. EAF gas is recovered and purified for the burner of rotary kiln, which could reduce off gas discharged into atmosphere. The operation of plant will bring the owner considerable economic and social benefit in the future.
