World Steel Association (worldsteel) statistics show that August crude steel production in the world's 64 major steel-producing countries and regions to 124.6 million tons, an increase of 9.8%, a decline of 2.3%.

August EU-27 production was 12.74 million tons of crude steel, an increase of 4.3%, a decline of 14.9%; CIS crude steel output was 9.45 million tons, an increase of 5.3%, growth of 1.8 percent; North America's crude steel production for the 1049 tons, an increase of 12.8%, growth of 1.6%; South America's crude steel output was 4.13 million tons, an increase of 4.8%, a decline of 3.6%; Asian crude steel production was 81.28 million tons, an increase of 12%, a decline of 1.2% .

The statistics also show that in 1--8 months, the world's 64 major steel-producing countries and regions in crude steel production of 10.1 million tons, an increase of 8.3%. 1--8 months, crude steel production in the EU-27 was 1.21 million tons, up 4.4 percent; CIS crude steel production was 75.38 million tons, up 6.2 percent; North America, crude steel production was 79.82 million tons, an increase of 6.5% ; South American crude steel production was 32.82 million tons, up 13.2 percent; Asian crude steel production was 650 million tons, an increase of 9.5%.

August crude steel production in China is 58.75 million tons, an increase of 13.8%, a decline of 0.9%. After deduction of China, global crude steel production in August was 65.84 million tons, an increase of 6.5%, a decline of 3.5%. August's overall global steel capacity utilization rate of 77.5%, a decrease of approximately 2.1 percentage points higher than in July, an increase of 3.5 percentage points compared with last August.

August average daily global crude steel production was 4.019 million tons, an increase of 9.8%, a decline of 2.3%, mainly due to China, South America and the European Union yields decline affected. September much of the world steel prices rose slightly, but limited demand dynamics in most areas did not improve mill operating rates, some European mills continue to cut production, it is expected in September the world's daily production will remain at the August level.
